Activity of the Foundation
The purpose of establishing the Foundation was to integrate the student and academic communities and to build certain areas of cooperation between them.
The basic goals of the Foundation include educational activity in public space – in the field of patriotism and Polish history – as well as promoting civic and social attitudes. First of all, through its initiatives, the Foundation broadly reaches out to school and academic youth, integrating it and engaging in its activities.
The Foundation initiates its own activities as well as participates in events held by other organisations, thus increasing their range and impact. These projects include various types of happenings, city games and actions, educational and training events, exhibitions, discussion meetings, and even short-term assistance to Polish veterans or Poles living in the East. So far, the people forming the Foundation’s environment have organised such events as the Christmas Package and civic classes for high school students.
The Youth Initiatives Foundation (Fundacja Inicjatyw Młodzieżowych) cooperates with people who undertake numerous social activities at their universities, in student or school environments, and parish and youth groups. We undertake joint initiatives with other organisations – such as student self-governments, associations and other foundations – dealing with the exchange of information between them as well as initiating and coordinating joint ventures. The Foundation’s members and co-workers participate in the organisation of many significant student and youth events taking place cyclically throughout Poland.
